Science and mistery combines in the preparation of the Earth, in order to give it the porcelain white color or the right consistency that allows it to be shaped and thrown into the oven’s fire. There is even more science in the way Yildiz sits in front of the immaculate forms and gives them live with her fine brushes. You would recognize her also in the motives imprinted on silk, in the painted stone of a jewel or in the shade of a lamp that spreads a light from another world. You will see her at every hour of the day in this state of grace: sitting on a chair in front of her colors, holding the object in one hand, with the brushes in another, silent, relaxed, immersed in a world that makes her happy and lonely, maybe, too.
Who is this woman, so beautiful, so talented, so powerful in the way in which she gives form to her talent? She is a Turkish born in Dobrudja (a Southern province of Romania).
You will find yourself in front of her creations wondering where does the Ottoman art stop (if ever), and where does the modern art starts (if one may say that there is such a starting point).
